Paul Fotheringham is a trusted leader with the experience, dedication, and heart to guide Holladay’s next chapter. With eight years on the Holladay City Council and a long career in accounting and banking, he understands how city government works – Not just in theory, but in practice. He knows what it takes to manage budgets, plan for infrastructure, and keep day-to-day operations and services running smoothly.
Paul’s leadership is steady, informed, and always people-centered. He grew up in the area, graduated from Olympus High, and raised his family in the same neighborhood he now serves. You’ll often find him at local events, chatting with residents, supporting the arts, or holding “pop-up” office hours at places like Sharon’s Cafe. He’s approachable, responsive, and present because that’s how trust is built.
Professionally, Paul served as a CPA in Washington, D.C. at Price Waterhouse, was Vice President at First Utah Bank, and Operations Manager for the Sports Mall. In public service, he currently serves as Vice Chair of the Unified Fire Authority Board and is actively involved with the Holladay Arts Council, Holladay Rotary Club, and other civic organizations.
But beyond the resume, Paul is a true public servant. Leadership has been a lifelong thread – from student body officer at Olympus High to student government leader at the University of Utah, from supporting local campaigns to serving as a two-term City Councilmember for Holladay. He leads with integrity, treats people with respect, and believes that real leadership starts with listening.
Now, Paul is ready to step up and serve as Mayor – not for the spotlight, but because he genuinely wants to make Holladay an even better place for generations to come.
